HK Day 1 – Tsuen Wan

When I first saw the promotion to Hong Kong on AirAsiaGo.com back in January, I knew I had to book the flight tickets in order to fulfil my new year wish.

And how I’m glad that I did because it was simply a remarkable trip for me.

The package cost only RM1,120 per person including return airfares and 5-night-stay at Panda Hotel. So worth it right?

Left - cloud above KL. Right - Panda Hotel, Tsuen Wan.

Panda Hotel is a 4-star hotel located in Tsuen Wan, New Territories. It has nice rooms and really good services.

Although the hotel is located quite far from Hong Kong island, but a 15 minutes walk (roof covered all the way) will bring us to the nearest MTR station (subway) and the subway will bring us to almost everywhere in Hong Kong conveniently.

Day 1 - Exploring Tsuen Wan area.

We reached the hotel around 8 PM the first day. After we grabbed some quick dinner beside the hotel, we walked around Tsuen Wan area.

From left to right - Kah Wai, Sophea, me and Cheng Lam dining at a typical Char Chan Teng (restaurant).
Shops and high-rise apartments above Citywalk shopping mall.
The "look left" and "look right" signs are painted on every possible crossing on the roads.

We saw so many things during the first night walk. Things that we don’t have back in KL like lot’s of public spaces, accessibility facilities for the disables and even a dedicated park for pets.

It was already 11:30 PM by the time we realised we have walked too far from the hotel. We called it a night and went back to the hotel eagerly waiting for the next day to come.
